Majestic Gaits has been breeding KWPN Dutch Warmbloods since 1985.  Owned and operated by Kathy Hickerson with the support of her family, Rick, her husband and sons Adam and Alex and daughter Amanda when they are not away at college/school!  Our stallion station stands 3 top stallions and we store and distribute over 30 stallions imported from VDL Stud in Holland. We support our breeders through breeding advice, stallion selection, Holland educational tours and buying trips, advertising on our website for our breeders and our email newsletter keeping everyone up on what is happing with all the stallions here and around the world along with foal announcements and sport results from the offspring from our breeders.

Majestic Gaits breeds for easy characters and high trainability with quality and potential for the Grand Prix and Olympic disciplines in jumper or dressage.  We breed/train our horses to be fun and easy for us but also for an amateur or professional.  Our offspring are winning in the show ring with Zalig MG (Pictured below on Right by Navarone) being Top Ten KWPN in the nation in hand at the keurings and Uloma MG (Pictured above by Farrington) #1 Elite KWPN mare in the nation and more.  Both of these horses are by stallions standing here at Majestic Gaits.
 

All foals are imprinted at birth. This makes them easier to work with train. We love working with the young ones and pride ourselves on producing young horses that have good characters and a good working mind.  Our horses are raised on hills.  We strive to keep them outside 24 hours so they get plenty of healthy exercise.  They build good strong hoofs, body strength and good socialization with other horses. 

Our foals are often sold before they are born.  This gives the buyers first pick and a discount off the price we would offer after they are born.  Our mares are from the best proven mare lines in Holland.  Our mares carry the KWPN top mare titles of Star, Keur and Elite.  We also have mares and foals bred and raised in Holland. Our mare Acordia (Indorado - Marlon) was high score jumping at her mare test in Holland and received her Keur predicate.
 

We are partners and agents for the prestigious VDL Stud in Holland.  Every year,  together with VDL, select top foals from Holland from good motherlines for future breeding or sporthorses.  This gives the buyer an opportunity to get an imported filly or colt of top lines for less cost than if they went to Europe to buy it themselves. It also helps to get to top mare lines to our breeders.  We do this as a service to our breeders who are looking to add/improve their mares.  We have had great success getting new filly and mares from Holland with the help of VDL Stud and want our breeders to also share in our success too.
 

Our trainer Colleen O'Connor-Dzik is an FEI Dressage rider, USDF Bronze Medalist who starts all our young horses here.  Colleen works them classically and prepares them for a long future.  Our customers love that the horses have a good foundation and prepared for a promising future for them.  We have young dressage and jumping prospects for sale.  Many are under saddle, such as Wembley(Flemming PREF), a 6 year old imported gelding was High Point KWPN Dutch Warmblood at his first show ever in at the prestigious NEDA Fall Festival in Saugerties NY with a 72%. 
 

Colleen also trains and shows our stallions Navarone and Schroeder.  She has brought Navarone along to great success to I-1 dressage and hoping to soon show at Grand Prix.  She rode our new young stallion Schroeder to #1 Hanoverian Materiale Stallion USDF Horse of the Year. Colleen trains regularly with Jane Karol,  Kathy Connelly and Claes Bierenbroodspot from Holland.  She also trains with Frenk Jespers from Holland, who is KWPN judge and coaches the rider of the Grand Prix dressage stallion Jazz. 
 

We are a distributor of all of VDL's frozen semen and store it locally.  This gives the breeders direct prices from the owners and local stored frozen semen that can be shipped anytime.  VDL Stud is one of the biggest stallion stations and breeders in Europe with Olympic stallions and offspring.  They pride themselves on having the best stallion with Quality international bloodlines.  VDL Stud is known for their sires Olympic Cardento, Flemmingh Preferent, Indoctro Preferent, Corland Keur and many many more all over the world.  We are proud to represent VDL Stud in America.  All VDL frozen semen comes with a backup guarantee to the stallions standing at Majestic Gaits or options to buy additional doses at 1/2 price.  We also carry a few additional stallions such as Sambertino (Samber - Wellington), Don Ricoss (Don Frederico - Weltmeyer), Olympic Lancet (Wenzel I - Shogun xx), 007 (Rubenstein - Doruto) and Polansky (Kostolany - Donnerhall).
 

We have 3 stallions standing at Majestic Gaits for fresh semen.  Navarone (Olympic Jus de Pomme - Armstrong) is an imported approved KWPN Dutch stallion and the only approved KWPN son of the famous 2 time Gold Medal Olympic Jumper Jus de Pomme.  Navarone has shown successfully at jumping to 4'6" and could go on to GP, but he also loved dressage and with such a fantastic character and strong hind end, he is winning in the dressage ring and preparing to debut at Grand Prix.  Navarone's oldest offspring are now jumping Grand Prix and already winning, such as Navarre won a $25,000 Grand Prix in Canada in 2007. Farrington (Wellington - Doruto) is the only stallion in America with the prestigious rating of Keur.  He is owned by VDL stud and has produced many Grand Prix dressage horses.  Schroeder (Sandro Hit - Escudo I) is our newest stallion.  In 2008 he was imported as a 4 year old and was #1 Material USDF Hanoverian stallion Horse of the Year and #4 of all 4 year old stallions in the country.  His first daughter Dorette MG was also #4 USDF filly Horse of the Year.
